Day 23 - West of Van Stadens River

As I am now writing this with a few days delay, dates are getting a bit confusing so I hope you are still following! On day 23, ie Monday 17/12 Robert was really in "squid-land"... He saw lots of "squid-fishing" boats. He came close to one of them and asked if they were getting lots. The guys on the boat obvioulsy misunderstood him and sent him a big squid... As Robert had actually not caught any fish that day, the squid came as a great opportunity for his supper!!

Heavy sees, strong winds, very hard going... Robert only paddled about 20 km as he was going to meet a friend of his old diving friend Charl, in Jeffrey's Bay the next day to bring him a new harpoon to replace the one that he had had to fix...
