Wednesday 21st Nov: Getting ready to leave Cape Town

Robert was up very early this morning, still jet-lagged from his China trip, and started organizing all the gear he had to take with him…

The first thing to check on was if everything was going to fit into the kayak and as you can see there is a lot! We weighed everything and the weight of the “gear” is approximately 90kg, which might be a little too much for the kayak, even if quite a bit of the food supply has been sacrificed already!

Robert then unpacked everything from the kayak into the Jeep and, after a last cup of coffee at home, he left to start the long trip to Durban…

Saturday will be the big day!

On departure Robert is 1m86 and weighs 83kg, let’s hope these data do not change too much!!
